Publisher's blurb: Australian Expats: stories from abroad (ISBN 1-876438-05-3) was published in October 2003 by Global Exchange and the Southern Cross Group. The book makes a great gift for Australian friends and family both in Australia and abroad. To find out how to get your copy, click here.
The 240-page book comprises 33 stories from Australians around the world, recounting their experiences as expats in many countries. We believe this is the first ever collection of stories from the Australian diaspora. In addition, the book features a thoughtful and thought-provoking foreword by well-known Australian author Nikki Gemmell, herself an expat. The stories in the book were selected from over 170 stories contributed in response to the SCG's call to the expatriate community worldwide to "tell their story". All those who submitted stories to the Project are mentioned in the back of the book. |
